The fact that EA have packed so much into the PSP version of Madden is a tribute to the team that worked on this game. In some cases it even goes further than the regular console version with practise squads and coaching staff running players through drills. Score summary
GAMEPLAY
8.6
The gameplay is what makes or breaks any title and Madden NFL 06 doesn't disappoint, with an excellent feature set and solid gameplay that we have come to expect from the Madden series. Loading times are an issue but when you consider how much there is packed into this game it's hardly surprising
GRAPHICS
8.4
The players are detailed and the graphics are crisp and clear enough to make it easy to see what's happening on the field even when the camera pulls back from the action. Given how many players there are on the field at any single time it's an impressive job from EA
LONGEVITY
9.3
A dynasty mode that is satisfying and deep along with mini games that are challenging and addictive, there is plenty of mileage in this game
PRESENTATION
8.2
The tv style of presentation is present in this game as with any other version of Madden and while it could be even better (we're waiting to see the fruits of the ESPN deal) it's a good start on a new platform
SOUND
7.8
The sound, in terms of commentary, carries the same problems as other Madden releases - namely, repetitive and predictable lines from Madden and a dull, uninspiring commentary from Michaels.
