| Gameplay is fun and there are plenty of new additions with the 'Matchup Stick' and player composure. A few too many dropped balls perhaps but some slider management can give you a good level of customisation. |
| No significant improvements over NCAA 2004 but it still looks pretty good. More facial characterisation would be nice. |
| Dynasy mode is, as always, addictive but if you don't like playing through multiple seasons, recruiting as you go along, then the online gameplay should keep you busy enough. |
| Presentation is nice, but again perhaps it's not been upgraded a whole lot since last year. Cut scenes and commentary in particular could use an upgrade. |
| The new stadium pulse meter and the vastly improved crowd noise is a very cool addition. For once we have a game bringing the normally static, muted sports crowd to life. |
| Overall NCAA 2005 is an improvement over NCAA 2004 and possibly better than Madden in many respects. Nevertheless it would be nice to see more squeezed out of the existing hardware than EA have done so far. The college game however continues to add some of the more innovative ideas in the sports gaming genre and it is essential that you own this game. |
