Game Review Profile
Review Summary (Damon)
GAMEPLAY
9.7
The fielding is spectacular along with the batting interface. The lefty power bug from last year is gone. The gameplay is all adjustable with some very good sliders.
GRAPHICS
8.9
The fielding animations are dead on and smooth. The player models look much better. One thing that needs work is the faces of the players but I really like the fact that a player without a real life photo is replaced with a graphic picture of that player instead of just leaving it blank.
LONGEVITY
9.0
Dynasty mode is still as engaging as last year. There is now a new Owner Mode if you like to control the flow of money although it’s tricky to learn to make money. Each teams minor league teams are there and playable and the new mini games also add to the replay value.
PRESENTATION
8.0
The pre-game show isn’t what it could be although the stadiums look spectacular as they show them before the game. If there is one place the game could be improved this is it.
SOUND
8.6
The announcing is pretty good but is off on what is happening in the game at times. The sound effects are good and are realistic.
OVERALL
8.8
It’s a real shame that EA won’t be able to release this game next year with the real teams and players. It’s definitely a great Baseball title.
