| Madden 11 to feature online scouting |

ESPN Videogames has reported details of a new feature that online gamers will welcome to Madden NFL 11.
With "Madden NFL 11," EA Sports is tracking your every play in order to deliver scouting reports to your online opponents. So now, whether I'm playing against a "Madden" vet in Sacramento or a newbie in Denver, all they need to do is order up my report and they'll know my tendencies as well as the people I've been playing "Madden" against since high school.
"Online scouting tracks all of your play-calling and what you like to do in different situations," explains producer Donny Moore. "We're tracking every online game that you play: online ranked, unranked, and 'Madden Ultimate Team' head-to-head."
Importantly, it seems that this feature will be free in terms of actual cash but require the collection of online credits - obtained through completing online games - in order to access.

| New OT rules for Madden 11 |

News broke yesterday on Giant Bomb of a change in the overtime rules for Madden NFL 11 to reflect those made in the NFL.
"Yep, we do support the new OT rules," Madden 11 creative director Ian Cummings told me via e-mail. "We turned on the new rules by default in Play Now and Online games as well because we felt that type of one-off game is kind of 'always the playoffs'…in that it’s always important, there’s no next week, and there’s no ties.
"The only way to get to the default 2009 (and before) rules is in franchise or online franchise, in the regular season naturally." |

| Gus Johnson confirmed as new voice of Madden |

| Long speculated but finally confirmed, Gus Johnson is now the voice of Madden NFL 11 - stepping into the booth for commentary, as reported on our Madden blog. EA have also released a video detailing many of the audio improvements that have been added to the game this year. |

Yesterday we left recruiting at the phone call stage. Today, in a new NCAA 11 Developer blog the team discuss "Prospects".
As you many of you have already guessed, there is a new ratings spread in NCAA Football 11. You'll no longer see dozens of players at 99 OVR in this year's game when looking at the rosters we ship with. Hence, we had to ensure the new Prospects created in Dynasty Mode matched the new philosophy. The Prospects have been re-created... every single one of them. The reason being is we wanted to ensure that all positions in the game had its share of elite players, multiple types of players, and an even spread from top to bottom. |

| Backbreaker demo dates confirmed |

| The much anticipated release of Backbreaker is drawing closer with the announcement today of confirmed release dates for the demo. On Xbox Live, the demo will be available on May 21 or May 28 depending on your tier of membership with Gold members getting priority. On the PS3, release of the demo is expected early next week. |

In their latest blog update, the NCAA 11 development team discuss improvements to dynasty mode and specifically the recruitment/telephone call part.
We are now less than two months away from the July 13th release of NCAA Football 11. Personally, I'm very excited about all the details we already talked about with game play and presentation. The game is looking really good right now and the team is working hard to finish in these last couple months. |
